PhD program

When people find out that we are in a PhD program with three kids they look at us kind of strange. For the first two years we kind of thought that we were crazy for trying to do it. There have been a couple of time when we felt like throwing in the towel. But, my husband is a hard determined worker. He stays up till all hours of the night and morning working(some times we will it indentured service.) All of his hard work is starting to pay off. He has co-authored a couple of papers. One of his papers made it in the New York times business section. Check out the link.

whoo-hoo! And there's a light at the end of the tunnel! So - I have a Christmas card for you guys (and the Johnsons) I never sent... I was out of stamps and then it was too embarrassing to send it mid January - so I'm sorry!

Congratulations, Jeremy. I actually saw a link to the NY Times article off of The Monkey Cage blog and thought, "is that the Jeremy Page I know?"

Keep up the good work! You give all us three-kids-and-working-on-a-PhD-program sufferers hope.

That is very exciting! What is the next year going to look like? When does he start going around for job interviews? When will you know where you are going to be moving to? Is this all too much? And Sheri, send the card!!!

You're not crazy and it will be worth it! Our goal was to finish before Will got baptized--we made it with 3 months to spare.
Congrats to Jeremy.
